Programs
At Sonoma County Premier Soccer, our programs are designed to meet players at every stage of their development. From building foundational skills to competing at a high level, we focus on growth, confidence, and long-term success, providing a clear pathways for every athlete to thrive.
Competition Team
Our Competition Team is a year-round program running from June through May, with annual tryouts at the end of the cycle. Players participate in a full schedule of fall and spring league matches, State Cup, tournaments, and play dates. A full-year commitment is expected, though roster openings may become available later in the season.
Registration fees are tiered based on when you sign up, in addition to monthly dues. These all-inclusive fees cover coaching, referees, field use, tournaments, and other program expenses. The only additional costs are uniforms and travel.
The fall season runs from late August through early December, with most games played on Saturdays and occasional Sunday matches. The spring season begins in early March and concludes in early May.
Development Team
Development Team players train alongside Competition Team members, creating an environment that supports growth through peer interaction and professional coaching. While players benefit from high-level training, they do not participate in league games or tournaments. The program runs on a flexible month-to-month basis, allowing families to join or pause at any time. There is no registration fee—only a monthly training fee.
Goalkeeping Training
Our goalkeeping program is built in progressive phases, each focused on developing position-specific skills in a step-by-step format. Players advance by mastering the skills in each phase before moving on, creating a strong technical foundation over time. The program includes five phases, and progression varies—many young goalkeepers may take multiple seasons to reach the final stage, reinforcing a long-term development approach.
Advancement to the next phase is based on a goalkeeper’s ability to demonstrate proficiency in the required skills. Each phase includes a defined set of drills and techniques that players are expected to practice consistently. Independent training is strongly encouraged, as repetition is key to building confidence and muscle memory.
This phased approach allows goalkeepers to develop at their own pace. Players who are highly motivated and train outside of scheduled sessions may progress more quickly, while others can take the time they need to grow into the position.
